I was gonna say "Draw Season 1 Episode 2 Luna instead." just to be a bother but realized I didn't want to be a bother. Ponytail Luna is hella cool. I like when people come up with something original enough to set their design apart but not so much it doesn't even feel like the same character. Also she just looks rad.
It's more practical this way and I think it suits Luna and the situation. A free flowing mane would be a distraction in some cases... I also like how this shows how she can change. In the show she had to learn about not using the royal Canterlot voice and talking about herself in second person (?), and now in the comic she is "giving up" her fluttery royal mane-style for the more practical and easier to handle ponytail. Sure, big crisis there, but it shows that she isn't one of those snobs commonly found in Canterlot (prior to the start of this comic, of course) who would insist on their comfort or such. In my opinion.
